Medical camp

The first medical camp was arranged on April 28, 1996 , for Health Care of Children. The response of the villagers was incredible. Since then couple of medical camps have been arranged on a regular basis. In 1999 the activity took more concrete shape when the "Medical Assistance Scheme" was launched. Through this scheme, a group of 10 doctors work voluntarily along with 25 volunteers of VSM to conduct medical camp in the village every 4th Sunday of the month. Corresponding "Medical Assistance Scheme" has been started in the US to partially support the cost of medicines and conveyance of doctors.

The group members, during their frequent visits to the village, visit the huts, talk with the villagers and try to create awareness of the health problems and the medical facilities.
