Awareness

”To create an awareness of environment among the villagers”, is also an important part of our Rural Development Program.

It includes :

Informing the villagers about the newer and better quality of seeds.

Creating awareness about the harmful effects of excess use of chemical fertilizers.

Promoting organic farming.

Creating awareness about soil, water and forest conservation.

On July 14,1996, we conducted a plantation program in Vihigaon, in which about 500 trees were planted with the help of local villagers.

We also plan to undertake a botanical survey in this area to study the flora and fauna.
