VIVEKANAND SEVAMANDAL :A PROJECT

Driven by Swami Vivekanand's message of awakening, his emphasis on social upliftment, and his unwavering faith in India's potential, started our story.
WHO
Vivekanand Seva Mandal (VSM) is a youth-driven, volunteer-led organization inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekanand and grounded in the ideals of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Since our inception in 1991, we've been committed to character building, community development, and cultural resurgence through dedicated social service.
We are not just an NGO. We are a movement of selfless service (seva), cultural pride, and nation-first thinking—empowering youth to become responsible citizens and changemakers.
We design and run transformative programs in the fields of:
- Education - Tribal and urban underprivileged student upliftment (Nalanda, ZEP, Umang)
- Leadership & Character Building - Study groups, workshops, discourse series(Abhyas Varga, Sparsh)
- Social Service- Health, environment, relief work, women empowerment, village development
- Cultural Activities - Rashtrapujan, Srujan Sohala, Diwali Sneha Bhoj to connect Bharat's soul with its youth

Aniket Sonavane
Co-Secretary
Aniket Sonavane, Co-Secretary of Vivekanand Seva Mandal, is a young and dedicated leader known for his organizational skills and innovative approach. He has earlier led the Engineering Community Center (ECC), guiding students in career development and self-reliance. Currently, he is spearheading the Internship Initiative of the Mandal, creating opportunities for youth to gain practical exposure while nurturing the spirit of Seva and nation-building. His energy, vision, and commitment make him an inspiring role model for fellow volunteers.
Rahul Balia
Treasurer
Rahul Balia, Treasurer of Vivekanand Seva Mandal, is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a passionate volunteer by heart. With his strong financial acumen, he ensures transparent and efficient management of the Mandal’s resources. Rahul has been deeply involved in the Nalanda Initiative, where he contributed to nurturing knowledge-sharing and youth development, and continues to support its growth today. Known as an excellent negotiator and strategist, he plays a key role in building partnerships and creating sustainable pathways for the Mandal’s projects.

Saurabh Bapat, a lawyer by profession, is a committed and compassionate volunteer of Vivekanand Seva Mandal. Known for his humility and eagerness to learn, he has previously led the Education Team and the Anand Project, making a meaningful impact in both areas. Currently, he leads the Swachh Dombivli Abhiyan (SDA), where he is actively expanding the team and scaling the project to reach new heights. His soft-spoken nature, curiosity, and dedication make him a respected leader and an inspiration within the Mandal.
